Hey, woohooo! Corel recently totally surprised me by awarding me for an entry in their Asia-Pacific Digital Art Competition, placing me among 2nd prize winners ! Here's the pic, which I had great pleasure in producing with CorelDraw X3:

Fiery Environment

The massive bushfire in the Aus' Victoria has claimed over 170 lives . Many were trapped in their homes with no escape and there were those trapped in their cars while attempting to flee. Reminds me of the Californian fires last year. Here's hoping there'll be sufficient aid for the surviving victims.

In broader view, this world's environment is obviously becoming an increasingly harsher place to live in. We're failing the environment because we're human. But I still believe in our spirit and our ability to pull together to reverse our destructive directions. It'll be difficult, but we'll fight until we win for our environment .. because we are human.

Well done to all participants of the PiNKiTUDE competition! And a special congrats to the winners & the semi-finalists who were selected for the PiNKiTUDE Shop. I notice one of my faves, mashiiro's PiNK, is among them (unsurprisingly), so congrats mashiiro!

This is my 1st journal entry for this year and marks my 1st tryout at CSSing. So, did I make the team .. or maybe it's a fail?
