Joe the Condor's Grappling Pistol

The grappling-hook pistol is one of Gatchaman Joe's signature gadgets.  This pistol provides Joe with multiple functions such as a grappling gun, complete with a retractable rope, a drill or a knock-out weapon against his enemies.  As needed, the crescent hook of his gun can be placed at its front or the back, or be replaced by another tool, such as a drill bit.  Weapons such as this are used in conjunction with Joe's acrobatic and explosive fighting skills to make him possibly the deadliest member of the team.

I was able to model this one off some of the early TV episodes, thanks to the released discs and my player's pause button.  The fact is, this is an amalgamation of varying versions between episodes and tie-in art around the net.
